What is Kuhani.org?
Kuhani.org was founded to allow coffee lovers to support personally meaningful causes through premium fair-trade and direct-trade coffees.
So the growers get a fair price, the coffee lover gets delicious premium beans, and the proceeds get sent back to the community.
How does it work?
Coffee lovers may choose to support any non-profit organization that has a Profile Page. Any non-profit organization can apply for a Club Profile in a few minutes so coffee lovers can lend their support.
The supporters recieve new fair-trade or direct-trade coffees each month, and the organization receives a proceeds check.
We take care of the billing, roasting and shipping details.
How is this different?
Through Kuhani.org, coffee lovers can get something they want while supporting ethical farming practices and personal causes at the same time.
The idea is that, because the coffee is priced about the same as other premium coffees, coffee drinkers can simply replace some of the coffee they would buy anyways and support personal causes of their choosing.
And it's easy for any organization to get started. The only necessary step is to apply for a Club Profile.
What about the coffee?
We don't like to brag, but we think the coffee is the best you'll ever taste. This come from getting the best coffees on the planet, then getting them to you within days of roasting.
All of the coffee is 100% fair-trade certified organic or direct-trade organic, meaning the growers always get a fair deal. This can make a huge difference in the lives of coffee farmers.
And, at $12 per bag, our coffee is competitive with other premium coffee roasters. You can compare this price to Starbucks, Roasterie, and Peet's Coffee prices. $3 from every bag goes back to to your personal cause.
Can coffee club members stay informed?
Each month, clubs have the option of including a letter or message with the coffee shipment to the club members.
This way, club members can stay up to date with news and the progress their membership has enabled.
Is there some sort of commitment?
Absolutely not. It is completely free to start a club and organizations will never be asked for payment of any kind.
Club members are only billed right before their beans are roasted. The coffee is shipped within a few days, guaranteeing the freshest coffee possible.
Club members can modify or cancel their memberships at any time and will never be billed after they have decided to cancel.
How can we tell people about our Club?
Kuhani.org has many tools specifically designed for use by volunteers who want to actively grow their Club.
After an organization creates a Club Profile, each person who wants to volunteer can join the Club under a Youth Account. From here they will have access to a number of tools to help grow their Club.
Is there a catch?
There is no catch.
It's simple: provide great, ethical coffee to good people and use the proceeds to support local causes. Request an Info Kit about Getting Started.
